Objective:
To encourage young people to stand up for equal opportunities and promote the message of breaking down stereotypes in school and community

Your Involvement:
As a “Career Challenge Ambassador”, you are expected to raise awareness about equal opportunities in your school or community. Some simple ways that you can make a difference include:
  • to initiate personal efforts to promote awareness (e.g. to write a film/book report to describe how it impacts on you, to design a slogan and send it to your friends via text message, or to write an article about breaking down stereotypes to a newspaper)
  • to initiate team efforts to promote awareness (e.g. to create a role-play or drama performance, or to use posters and bulletin boards to spread the message in school)
  • to conduct a survey to get the views of the others on the issue
  • to reach out to persons with disabilities and ethnic minority communities
To obtain a certificate of involvement, you should complete the activities and submit a brief report to the Commission by May 2008. More details will be announced at mentorship activities.
