    The Hong Kong Society for the Blind    
         
   
Established in 1956, the Hong Kong Society for the Blind is a government subvented voluntary agency providing comprehensive educational, rehabilitation, vocational training, medical, social and residential services to visually impaired clients in Hong Kong.
   
         
   
The services of the Society are grouped under four divisions: Finance and Administration, Research and Development, Rehabilitation and Residential Services. The Finance and Administration Division includes Accounts and Administration Departments, Factory for the Blind, Adaptive Equipment Service Unit and Barrier Free Access Technology Service Unit. The Research and Development Division includes General Eye and Low Vision Centre, Low Vision Resource Centre, Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant: Parents Resource Centre for Visually Impaired Children, Consultancy Service Unit and Career Development, and Training and Public Education Centre. As for the Rehabilitation Division, it includes Rehabilitation Centre, Centralized Braille Production Centre and Information Accessibility Centre. The Residential Services Division operates six homes and hostel namely Yuen Long Home for the Aged Blind, Jocky Club Tuen Mun Home for the Aged Blind, Kowloon Home for the Aged Blind, Bradbury Care and Attention Home for the Aged Blind, Morning Glory Day Activity Centre cum Hostel, and Bradbury Home. It also includes Health Massage and Treatment Centre and Deaf Blind Rehabilitation Service.
