Overcoming dyslexia, Dr. Ting has been practicing in the field of mental health for over 16 years. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine & Surgery from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr. Ting received further training in psychiatry. He has been a fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Psychiatry) since 2003. He also has deep interest in the “relationship between mental disorder and sexual offence” and obtained the Master of Social Sciences (Criminology) from the University of Hong Kong in 2008.

Dr. Ting has received professional training in psychiatry from various hospitals and institutes including Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Hypnotherapy. He is also promoting awareness on mental health through various mass media and community activities. Dr. Ting loves writing and has written columns for many newspapers, magazines as well as leaflets on mental health. He has also shared his insights about mental health through talks, TV programmes and radio programmes. |

Dr. Ting is currently the Chairman of the Hong Kong Society of Psychiatrists. He is also a Clinical Tutor & Visiting Psychiatrist at the Macau University of Science and Technology, Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, Medical Consultant of the Hong Kong Professional Teachers’ Union, Consultant of the TWG Hospitals Counselling Centre for Psychotropic Substance Abusers, and Consultant of Tuen Mun Yuk Chi Resource Centre for Mentally Handicapped Children. |
