As the Assistant Government Chief Information Officer (Industry Development), Ms WU coordinates and implements measures for promoting the development of information and communications technology (ICT) industry and manpower, smart city and digital inclusion in Hong
Kong. She is also responsible for promoting cooperation between overseas/the Mainland and Hong Kong on ICT, and handling matters relating to ICT between Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), World Trade Organization (WTO) and other related
international bodies; as well as overseeing matters relating to the administration of the domain name system in Hong Kong.

The Government has been committed to implementing various measures to promote the adoption of accessible design on websites and mobile applications by all sectors of our community. Measures include requiring government departments to adopt accessible designs on
their websites and mobile applications, providing practical resources and guidelines to assist businesses in enhancing the accessibility design features of their websites/mobile applications so as to offer a better online service experience for all users, such as
those with disability and the elderly. Besides, the Government has been co-organising the “Digital Accessibility Recognition Scheme” with the Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited to commend businesses and organisations dedicated to enhancing the
accessibility features of their websites and mobile applications. This sets a good example and encourages sectors of society to work together to create an accessible smart Hong Kong.
