DIMA Promotion

The Government is committed to promoting digital inclusion to help groups with special needs enjoy equal opportunities in accessing and using information and communications technology to improve their daily life.

Since 2012, the Government has launched the Funding Scheme for Digital Inclusion Mobile Apps (the Scheme). Through three rounds of the Scheme, the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer has provided funding support for non-profit social service organisations to develop mobile apps that cater for the needs of underprivileged groups.

These apps can better cater for the needs of the target groups, including persons with visual or hearing impairment, elders and children with learning difficulties or Down Syndrome, in terms of contents and services, thus enhancing their quality of life and learning abilities.
