Members of the public who download the EOC smart phone app from now until 31 December 2017 can enter a lucky draw for a chance to win an iPad Pro or a portable charger for mobile phones.

The EOC developed and introduced a smart phone app in 2013 to enable the general public to conveniently get access to the EOC information via their mobile phones. The EOC smart phone app features the introduction of the EOC, a brief description of the four anti-discrimination ordinances, the Commission’s latest updates and a multimedia centre. The principle of “web accessibility” has been adopted to cater for the needs of different users. Since the launch of the smart phone app, the EOC has been optimizing its content and functions. In order to help the ethnic minorities better understand the work of the EOC, the app has recently been linked to web pages that direct users to get the EOC information in six different languages including Urdu, Nepali, Tagalog, Thai, Hindi and Indonesian, and access information on job vacancies of the EOC.
