Beware of impersonation scams

  1. Please be cautious if an individual or institution claiming to be a representative of the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) contacts you by telephone, online through social media, instant messaging or email, and asks you to provide personal information about yourself or someone you know.  You should always verify the identity of the individual who claims to represent the EOC or is affiliated with the EOC.  
  2. If you are in doubt about the identity of anyone claiming to represent the EOC, please contact us (EOC's hotline at 2511 8211, email: eoc@eoc.org.hk) for assistance in the first instance.  Do not provide any personal data or sensitive information if you have any doubts.   If you suspect fraud, please report it to the Hong Kong Police Force. The EOC shall not be responsible for any loss or damage you or any other person may suffer as a result of direct or indirect contact with fraudulent individuals or institutions.
