Born and raised in the city, it is evident that James feels at home. He has a very strong creative side, and Hong Kong has provided him with ample opportunities to master his passion in both food and music. He believes that art transcends ethnicity and that it shows within the creative space in Hong Kong. In every creation he makes, whether through a dish or a song, he pulls inspiration from his culture and upbringing. James, along with other creative talents from ethnic minority backgrounds, are making strides in representation and diversification of Hong Kong’s creative fields.
