Probably the hardest and most painful part of being a domestic worker is not the job itself, but the stigma associated with it, the feeling of being a second-class citizen, and the open-secret abuse that we know some of us are facing. Still, we usually put on an imaginary blindfold and carry on with our work, pretending the problems aren’t there.
