Regrets of a mother

Regrets of a mother

HEI Ka-ching
My parents came to Hong Kong from Guangzhou in 1952. They toiled day after day to make ends meet, and none of us in the family had any complaints. Today, I have become a working mom myself. I have to cook and finish other household chores after work every day, but it seems my children never appreciate what I do nor give a helping hand. It is my fault. I have always been too kind to them and doted on them. It is too late to undo the damage.
