Bonnie has been living with depression for a few decades. She had a divorce when her son was young, and they have depended on each other since then. Still, their relationship isn’t as close as she has hoped. Fear of discrimination stopped her from getting timely treatment, and as a result she missed out on the upbringing of her son. Despite persistent misunderstanding of people recovering from mental health issues and the strain it has put on her interaction with him, she is determined to devote the rest of her life and all her love to him.
