2008/07/10 EOC Welcomes the Passage of the Race Discrimination Ordinance
 
  The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) supports the elimination of discrimination on all grounds and welcomes the passage of the anti-racial discrimination legislation by the Legislative Council today (10 July 2008).

2008/07/03 EOC welcomes ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities by the National People’s Congress Standing Committee
 
  The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) welcomes ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) by the National People’s Congress Standing Committee on 26 June 2008, which was a major move of the Central Government to reaffirm its commitment to protect and promote the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities.

  The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) welcomed a decision made by the District Court yesterday (21 May 2008), which ruled in favour of a driver, who was unlawfully discriminated against on the ground of disability.
