Tell us your story in the Employment Equality Project Writing Competition

Hong Kong is a city of stories, many of which are hidden and waiting to be unearthed, including those about people with disabilities (PWDs). Riding on the EOC’s “Employment Equality Project”, which aims at deepening public knowledge on the Disability Discrimination Ordinance, we have launched a writing competition to invite stories about people’s experiences as or with PWDs. Participants can also write about their suggestions on how to promote inclusion of PWDs into the community.

The writing competition is open to everyone under two divisions, namely the Youth Division (aged 18 or under) and the Open Division (aged 19 or above), with gift coupon and certificate of merit as prizes. The deadline for submissions is 31 March 2018. For more details, please refer to the EOC website.

In addition to the writing competition, the abovementioned “Employment Equality Project” features a radio programme called “Care for Disabled”, broadcast on RTHK Radio 1 at 1pm every Sunday, as well as a series of interviews that are available for viewing on the EOC YouTube Channel and the project’s Facebook fan page.
