Applications will close on 25 March 2022 for the EOC’s Community Participation Funding Programme 2022-23.

In an unprecedented move, the EOC will provide a maximum funding of HK$150,000 under the programme to large-scale projects addressing one of its stipulated themes, which include: universal design; protection against breastfeeding discrimination and harassment; preventing sexual, disability or racial harassment; and family status.

Alternatively, organisations may apply with projects based on one or more of the priority areas stated in the EOC’s Strategic Plan. Approved projects in this category are each entitled to a maximum funding of HK$50,000.

More than 1 220 projects have benefited from the programme since its launch in 1997. Building on the financial support, NGOs, schools and community groups have been able to organise talks, competitions, drama shows and many other events designed to promote the value of inclusion, as well as understanding of Hong Kong’s anti-discrimination laws.
