EOC supports ADHD Awareness Week

EOC supports ADHD Awareness Week

Difficulty with attention and concentration, excessive physical movement, appearing forgetful or impulsive… these are among the symptoms of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), which affects millions of people worldwide. Although ADHD is a common condition among children and adults, misunderstanding and stigma remain.

The annual “ADHD Awareness Week”, organised by online support platform Let’s Talk ADHD and the Hong Kong Let’s Talk ADHD Association, brings together ADHD professionals and specialists from different regions for fruitful conversations about how to empower ADHDers to overcome challenges in life.

On 22 October 2022, Dr Ferrick CHU Chung-man, Executive Director (Operations) of the EOC officiated at the opening ceremony to kick-start this year’s ADHD Awareness Week, which carries the theme “Love Your past・Grow Your Future”.

Running from 23-29 October, the weeklong programme features webinars and workshops that address the difficulties adults and adolescents with ADHD face in employment, medical treatment, family relationships and life planning.

Check out the website of Let’s Talk ADHD to find out more information about ADHD and the Awareness Week.
