EOC’s training programme returns this fall

Applications are now open for the EOC’s 2023 fall training programme. On offer are three free-of-charge courses and seven fee-charging courses, running from October to December 2023.

The three free courses will be held online, namely, “Introduction to the Anti-Discrimination Ordinances in Hong Kong, “Understanding the Unlawful Harassment under the Anti-Discrimination Ordinances” and “How Breastfeeding Women are Protected under the Sex Discrimination Ordinance”.

The two newly introduced fee-charging courses include “Access for All under the Anti-Discrimination Ordinances”, which will explore universal accessibility and ways to create barrier-free environments, and “Manager’s Roles in Combating Workplace Sexual Harassment”, which will use case studies and role play to cultivate awareness and sensitivity among frontline managers in preventing and managing sexual harassment.

Other fee-charging courses will delve into specific issues, such as “Managing Recruitment and Selection Processes”, “Issues in Human Resources Management under the Sex Discrimination Ordinance and the Family Status Discrimination Ordinance” and “Managing Complaints of Discrimination and Harassment in the Workplace”. These courses are particularly beneficial for managers, HR and Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) professionals, recruitment consultants and business owners.

Places are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration should be made at least seven working days in advance of the date of the course concerned. For enquiries, please contact the EOC at 2106 2155.
