EOC organises briefing session on Universal Design Award Scheme 2024/25

On 23 January 2024, the EOC will organise a briefing session to encourage organisations in the public and private sectors to participate in the inaugural Universal Design Award Scheme (UDAS). Open for application from 1 February to 15 April, the Scheme aims to promote the wider adoption of universal design in Hong Kong by recognising organisations that have made significant contributions in creating accessible built environments in public spaces and sharing their practices.

The briefing session will include an introduction on the core ideas behind universal design, as well as an overview of the categories under the Scheme (i.e. shopping malls, offices, restaurants, and recreational facilities), assessment process, and judging criteria. Details of the event are as follows:
