EOC organises ‘Diversity & Inclusion Education Forum’

On 16 March 2024, the EOC will host the ‘Diversity & Inclusion Education Forum’ to explore strategies for creating inclusive learning environments in schools with educators. This event will also serve to commemorate International Women’s Day, observed on 8 March, and International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on 21 March.

Joining the panel discussion at the event will be Dr Jan GUBE, Assistant Professor at the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at The Education University of Hong Kong, Dr Alice YUK Tak-fun, CEO of Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired and Mr Jonathan LY, Board Member of Inspiring Girls Hong Kong. Moderated by Ms Eva WONG, Co-founder of WEDO GLOBAL, the discussion will focus on ways to support diverse learning needs from the perspectives of gender, race, and disability.

In addition, representatives from Caritas Wu Cheng Chung Secondary School, TWGHs Kap Yan Directors’ College and St. Teresa Secondary School will share best practices for fostering racial integration and promoting multiculturalism, as well as inspiring and enabling female students on school campuses.
