Equal Opportunity Youth Ambassadors participate in anti-sexual harassment workshop and visit Meta

On 23 March 2024, Equal Opportunity Youth Ambassadors (EOYAs) took part in a workshop on tackling sexual harassment on university campuses. Led by the EOC’s Anti-Sexual Harassment Unit, the workshop is designed to enrich the EOYAs’ understanding of sexual harassment and equip them to speak up against such behaviours on campuses. In addition to learning about the definition of sexual harassment under the Sex Discrimination Ordinance, the workshop also provided practical advice on being an “active bystander” when witnessing or experiencing incidents of sexual harassment.

Following the workshop, the EOYAs will be given the opportunity to lead an initiative or campaign to promote the message of anti-sexual harassment on campuses or on social media.

Separately, the EOYAs visited social technology company Meta’s Hong Kong office on 26 March 2024. The visit allowed the Youth Ambassadors to learn about the implementation of diversity, equality, and inclusion initiatives in the corporate context.
