EOC makes use of new comic series to encourage those who experienced sexual harassment to come forward
The EOC’s Anti-Sexual Harassment Unit has released a comic series to explain possible scenarios of sexual harassment and myths about filing reports of sexual harassment through the EOC’s complaint-handling system.
Titled Understanding Sexual Harassment through Comics, the EOC developed the series after it had received several anonymous reports of sexual harassment last year. The anonymity of the reports, coupled with the lack of associated contact details, meant that the EOC was unable to take further actions or provide follow-up assistance. Through the comic series, the EOC hopes to encourage those who were sexually harassed to come forward and provide their names when lodging complaints.
