The Financial Support Scheme for Self-help Organisations of Persons with Disabilities/Chronic Illnesses (2024-2026) by the Social Welfare Department aims to foster the spirit of self-help and mutual support among persons with disabilities and their families/carers, as well as to improve care for individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses within the community.

Self-help organisations with more than half of the members being persons with disabilities or their family members/carers are eligible to apply. If an application is made under the name of a coalition, all participants must be self-help organisations for people with disabilities. The deadline for applications is 5pm on 12 August 2024.
