EOC makes submission to HKEX on review of corporate governance code and related listing rules
The EOC made a submission to the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) this August in response to the consultation paper on the review of the corporate governance code and related listing rules. In the submission, the EOC expressed support for the HKEX’s dedication to phasing out single-gender boards by 31 December 2024 and the proposals outlined in HKEX’s 2024 Consultation Paper on the Review of Corporate Governance Code and Related Listing Rules to promote gender equality and awareness.
EOC launches anti-sexual harassment prize game on Instagram
The EOC has launched a prize game on its Instagram page to promote the anti-sexual harassment message to tertiary students and young people as the new school year begins.
The Women’s Foundation organises 20th Anniversary Gender Equality Summit
The Women’s Foundation will host its 20th Anniversary Gender Equality Summit on 13 September 2024 at the HKEX Connect Hall. Under the theme “Evolution through Exchange”, the summit will feature talks and panel discussions with local and international leaders in diverse fields, including public policy, finance, media and non-governmental organisations, on advancing gender equality and inclusion in a fast-changing world. The EOC is a supporting organisation of the event.
EOC joins Biz-Green Dress Day to promote sustainability
As an organisation committed to sustainability and social responsibility, the EOC is pleased to participate in the Biz-Green Dress Day on 5 September. The initiative is part of the Green Building Week, an annual public campaign co-organised by the Construction Industry Council and the Hong Kong Green Building Council to promote eco-friendly practices. The EOC is a supporting organisation of Green Building Week.
