The Mental Health Month initiative is a territory-wide campaign designed to raise community awareness about mental health issues through a range of publicity and educational activities. The Organising Committee consists of Government departments, NGOs and public bodies, including the EOC.

Under the theme “Linking Hearts, Bridging Communities”, the 2024 Mental Health Month encourages the public to prioritise the mental wellbeing of their friends and families. On 26 October 2024, an opening ceremony was held in Tseung Kwan O to kick off a series of mental health-related activities scheduled for the upcoming month. One of the highlights is a photo contest, which invites participants to promote mental health awareness through photography. Submissions for the contest should be made before 9 November 2024 5pm.
