The EOC has launched the ‘2024-2025 Equal Opportunity Cup Inter-School Debate Competition’ to provide a platform for young people to develop their understanding of equal opportunities. With Commercial Radio 1 serving as the media partner, the debate competition, which will be conducted in Cantonese and on a knockout basis, will focus on issues related to the four anti-discrimination ordinances.

All secondary schools and international schools registered with the Education Bureau are eligible to participate in the competition. Each participating school can send one team, consisting of 4 to 10 students. Participation is limited to 32 teams. If the number of applications exceeds this quota, schools will be selected through a draw. Winning teams will receive book vouchers and trophies.
