2024 Mental Health Month holds closing ceremony
The 2024 Mental Health Month has successfully hosted a diverse array of educational activities aimed at raising awareness about mental health issues in the community. The EOC is proud to be part of the Organising Committee, along with various government departments, non-governmental organisations, and public bodies.
On 4 January 2025, a closing ceremony was held to mark the initiative’s successful completion. Officiated by Mr HO Kai-ming, the Acting Secretary for Labour and Welfare, the event featured a prize presentation for a photography competition and a musical performance by people in mental recovery and their carers.
During the ceremony, Hong Kong table tennis player Ms LEE Ho-ching and esteemed rugby player Mr Salom YIU Kam-shing shared their personal journeys of overcoming challenges, inspiring the audience to maintain a positive outlook in the face of adversity. Interviews with both athletes are now available on the Mental Health Month YouTube Channel.
