EOC welcomes a new cohort of Equal Opportunity Youth Ambassadors
On 25 January 2025, the EOC hosted an orientation gathering to welcome a new cohort of 50 Equal Opportunity Youth Ambassadors (EOYAs). During the event, the EOYAs participated in ice-breaking activities and received a brief introduction on the anti-discrimination ordinances and the EOC’s work. Five alumni from previous cohorts also shared their experiences and gave words of encouragement to the new cohort.
In her opening remarks, EOC Chairperson Ms Linda LAM Mei-sau encouraged the EOYAs to explore ways to advance equal opportunities for all and spread the values of diversity, equality, and inclusion to their peers. EOC Members Ms Queenie CHAN Lai-kwan and Miss Lily CHOW also attended the event to welcome the new EOYAs.
In the upcoming months, the EOYAs will participate in a series of experiential learning activities to deepen their understanding of issues related to equal opportunities in Hong Kong, including an anti-sexual harassment training for promoting respectful and inclusive campuses.
