Digital Accessibility Recognition Scheme records highest number of awardees

The award ceremony of the Digital Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2024-25 was held on 19 May 2025. Organised by the Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC) and co-organised by the Digital Policy Office, the Scheme aims to encourage more organisations and enterprises to improve digital accessibility. The EOC served as the Independent Advisor for the Scheme. EOC Chairperson Ms Linda LAM Mei-sau was one of the guests of honour at the ceremony.

This year, the number of awardee in the Scheme reached a record high, with 439 websites and 102 mobile apps receiving awards for their outstanding achievement in promoting digital accessibility. Among these awardees, 119 websites and mobile apps were recognised in the newly-created “Elderly Friendly” category.

In her speech, Ms Lam said, “The awardees of the Digital Accessibility Recognition Scheme are leading by example in promoting digital inclusion. I hope their good practices will inspire more enterprises and organisations to follow suit, and transform Hong Kong into a truly inclusive city.”
