Labour and Welfare Bureau invites applications for “Caring Employer” Medal

The “Caring Employer” Medal is jointly organised by the Labour and Welfare Bureau’s Diverse Abilities · Inclusive Workplace Recognition Scheme and the Jockey Club Collaboration Project for Inclusive Employment. It aims to recognise employers who have made outstanding contributions in building disability-inclusive workplaces and encourage more organisations to take the first step in providing opportunities and support for people with disabilities in the job market. The EOC is a strategic collaborator of the initiative.

There are three categories under the scheme: Large Corporations, Small & Medium Enterprises, and NGOs, Social Enterprises & Public Organisations. Each category has a three-tiered award system that will recognise employers based on the level of commitment they demonstrate in supporting employees with disabilities and in building inclusive workplaces. In addition, the scheme will present three thematic awards to recognise organisations for their contributions to different aspects of inclusion, such as peer support, programmes for people with disabilities, and innovative approaches.

The scheme is now open for applications until 4 July 2025.
