EOC organises coffee grounds painting session for people with intellectual disabilities
On 16 August 2025, a group of volunteers from the EOC hosted a coffee grounds painting session at the Fu Hong Society’s Father Tapella Home, which is a hostel dedicated to serving adults with medium to severe intellectual disabilities.
EOC staff members contributed around 2 kilograms of coffee grounds for the event. The hostel’s residents and EOC volunteers then used both dry and rehydrated coffee grounds to create unique paintings. The event allowed both volunteers and residents to unleash their creativity while learning about the value of upcycling.
