EOC Chairperson visits polling station ahead of the 2025 Election Committee Subsector By-elections
As the statutory body tasked with eliminating discrimination and promoting equal opportunities, the EOC is committed to ensuring that all eligible voters, particularly those with special needs, can participate in the election process to exercise their right to vote.
On 6 September 2025, one day before the 2025 Election Committee Subsector By-elections, EOC Chairperson Ms Linda LAM Mei-sau visited a polling station at the Hong Kong Central Library to review the facilitation measures the Registration and Electoral Office has put in place for voters with different needs. These measures, including temporary ramps at entrances, pictorial voting aid, and guidance on voting procedures in different languages, enable eligible voters with diverse needs and languages to participate in the elections.
