EOC Chairperson calls on eligible voters to participate in the Legislative Council General Election 2025

The EOC is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive society where everyone can enjoy equal opportunities and to fully participate in society, including in the areas of political participation and the exercise of the right to vote.

The upcoming Legislative Council General Election 2025 is scheduled to take place on 7 December 2025. Ahead of the start of the nomination period, the EOC participated in a kick off ceremony held by the SAR Government on 23 October 2025.

EOC Chairperson Ms Linda LAM Mei-sau said: “The upcoming Legislative Council General Election is a key step in creating an inclusive and harmonious Hong Kong. It is therefore essential that all eligible voters, including individuals with special needs, are able to exercise their right to vote. I would also like to call on EOC’s stakeholders, EOC Members and colleagues who are eligible voters to cast their votes on election day, helping to create a more caring and inclusive community together. The EOC will make feasible accommodation to our staff in taking time to cast their vote on the day.”

As with previous elections, the EOC will work with the relevant authorities to ensure that facilitation measures are in place to accommodate people with diverse needs to cast their votes.
