EOC launches Equal Opportunity Youth Ambassador Scheme 2025/26

The EOC is recruiting full-time tertiary students for the Equal Opportunity Youth Ambassador Scheme 2025/26, which aims to deepen participants’ understanding of diversity, equality and inclusion through a series of experiential learning activities. In addition to retaining anti-sexual harassment training as a key component, this year’s Scheme will also introduce a visit to the Mental Health Experience Museum, ‘Mind Space’, to strengthen the Youth Ambassadors’ awareness of mental health issues.

EOC Chairperson Ms Linda LAM Mei-sau said, “In recent years, there have been growing concerns about the mental health of young people. This year, the EOC has specifically introduced a visit to the Mental Health Experience Museum to the programme, with a view to strengthening the Youth Ambassadors’ understanding and awareness of mental health issues, thereby eliminating discrimination and misunderstandings of people with mental health needs.”

Other experiential activities include training with athletes with disabilities and learning how to be guide runners for individuals with visual or hearing impairments; participating in a multicultural tour to experience the cultures of local and ethnic minority communities; visiting a company to learn about the advantages of implementing diverse, equal and inclusive policies in the workplace and explore the benefits of adopting universal design; and experiencing the challenges faced by wheelchair users and carers in daily lives to understand the importance of accessible environments.

The Scheme is now open for applications. Interested tertiary students can submit an application form together with a short article or video expressing their views on equal opportunities via the Scheme’s website on or before 16 November 2025.
