Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association organises talks for schools

The Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association will organise talks for local kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools to enhance students’ understanding of guide dogs as part of its ‘The Guide Dog Little Q Goes to School’ initiative. The initiative is funded by the EOC’s 2025-2026 Community Participation Funding Programme on Equal Opportunities.

The talks will feature guide dog trainers and users sharing their experiences alongside their guide dogs. Students will learn about the support guide dogs provide to individuals with visual impairments, helping them develop greater empathy. In addition, the talks will introduce essential etiquette for interacting with guide dog users and their guide dogs.

Interested schools can now register for the talks, which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. For registration and enquiries, please contact the Association at 3188 1736 or via email at  andychan@guidedogs.org.hk.
