EOC calls on secondary schools to join the Equal Opportunity Cup Inter-School Debate Competition 2025-2026
The EOC has launched the Equal Opportunity Cup Inter-School Debate Competition 2025-2026 to provide opportunities for young people to deepen their understandings of equal opportunities.
Building on the success of the inaugural competition in the 2024/25 academic year, the EOC has expanded the number of places for participating schools in the 2025-26 edition of the competition from 32 to 48. Through multiple rounds of knockout debates, the competition aims to provide opportunities for secondary school students to learn about equal opportunities issues in Hong Kong and raise public awareness of the four anti-discrimination ordinances.
All secondary schools or international schools registered with the Education Bureau are eligible to participate in the competition. Each school may send one team, and all team members must be students of that school during the competition. The competition will be conducted in Cantonese. If registration exceeds the quota, participating schools will be selected through a draw. The registration deadline is 9 January 2026.
