On 14 January 2026, the EOC will hold a briefing to encourage public- and private-sector organisations to participate in the Universal Design Award Scheme (UDAS) 2026/27. Open for applications until 31 March 2026, the Scheme aims to promote the wider adoption of universal design in Hong Kong by recognising organisations that have made significant contributions to creating accessible built environments and providing accessible services in different premises, and by sharing their best practices.

The briefing will familiarise interested parties with the application process and provide practical examples of implementing universal design.
