2025 Mental Health Month holds closing ceremony
On 17 January 2026, the 2025 Mental Health Month held a closing ceremony to mark the successful completion of this year’s campaign. The initiative featured a wide range of activities across the city to raise awareness of mental health issues in the community. The Organising Committee is composed of government departments, NGOs and public bodies, including the EOC.
The closing ceremony was officiated by Mr Chris SUN Yuk-han, the Secretary for Labour and Welfare. It featured a musical performance by people with disabilities and performers of various ages, as well as various experiential booths.
In addition, the event recognised the winners of the Short Video Creation Competition of the ‘Fit’ Mental Wellness Promotion Project. The competition invited members of the public to create 1-minute videos showing how they adopt various healthy habits, such as stress management, social connection, good-quality sleep, regular exercise and a healthy diet, into their daily lives. During the event, the winners participated in a sharing session with renowned boxer Mr Rex TSO Sing-yu. The organisers collaborated with Mr TSO and long-distance runner Ms Virginia LO Ying-chiu to produce videos on mental health.
