Equal Opportunity Youth Ambassadors visit Mind Space

On 7 February 2026, the Equal Opportunity Youth Ambassadors visited Mind Space, Hong Kong’s first Mental Health Experience Museum. The visit marked the first time the Scheme has organised an outing to Mind Space, aimed at deepening participants’ understanding of mental health and related issues.

Located at Castle Peak Hospital, Hong Kong’s oldest psychiatric facility, Mind Space strives to demystify mental illness, reduce stigma and promote mental wellbeing. Through a range of informative and interactive activities, including simulation experiences and sharing session featuring persons in recovery, the EOYAs learnt about the history of mental health services in Hong Kong and gained insights into the challenges faced by people with mental health needs.

In the coming months, the Youth Ambassadors will continue to participate in a wide range of experiential learning activities, such as learning to serve as a guide runner and exercising with athletes with disabilities, attending a workshop on preventing sexual harassment, experiencing the cultures of local and ethnic minority communities through multicultural tours, visiting a company that champions diversity, equality, inclusion (DEI) and universal design, and navigating the neighbourhood as a wheelchair user or carer.
