The EOC Announces Results of the “Generation i” Multimedia Competition

With the aim of firing up local youths’ creativity and commitment to promoting equal opportunity concepts, the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) co-organised with the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Jockey Club Media 21 the “Generation i” programme last year. The programme featured workshops on comics drawing and video production conducted by veteran artists, as well as a competition consisting of “Comics” and “Short Video” divisions. All secondary school students were invited to help advocate mutual respect, diversity and inclusion through comic strips and short videos they created.
All shortlisted entries have been passed to a judging panel comprising EOC Members and professional artists and film directors for scoring and deciding on the final winners. In addition, the shortlisted entries were available online for public voting. The entries that received the greatest number of “likes” won the “Most Popular Entry on Facebook” awards. The award presentation ceremony took place during the public event of International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on 3 March 2019. The winning results were as follows:
