EOC Chairperson Ms Linda LAM Mei-sau said, “We are delighted to have Mr Wong as the speaker. His sharing provided us with a good understanding of Qianhai’s importance to the country’s advancement. The development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) is a major strategic plan of the country, and Qianhai is one of the key areas fostering co-operation in the region. Accordingly, it is vital and meaningful for staff members of the EOC to enhance their understanding of Qianhai’s planning, as well as its present and future development.”

Ms Lam added, “In recent years, the EOC has been actively collaborating with organisations in the GBA to advance the interests of persons with disabilities in the region. At the same time, we have been enhancing staff members’ understanding of the country’s latest developments through various initiatives and incorporating these insights into our work, thereby strengthening our contributions to the high-quality development of the country and Hong Kong.”

In the session, Mr Wong shared his experience working in Qianhai and introduced the region’s strategic development and future action plan.
