EOC Contingency Plan during the World Trade Organization (Hong Kong) Ministerial Conference

In response to the government advice for the public to avoid travel to congested areas in Wanchai North during the Ministerial Conference, the Equal Opportunities Commission announces the following contingency measures:


Members of the public wishing to seek EOC services are advised to call the EOC hotline (Tel: 2511 8211), email the EOC (eoc@eoc.org.hk) or to make prior appointment, instead of visiting the Commission in person. Appointments will be scheduled, as far as practicable, prior to or after the Conference period, from 13 December to 18 December 2005.


In the event that as a result of security concerns arising from the WTO Ministerial Conference leading to temporary closure of the EOC office in Wanchai North and suspension of services, an announcement on the EOC website (http://www.eoc.org.hk) and via the telephone hotline will be made available to the public.
