Organisations share insight into benefits of D&I in EOC’s new video series

Finding yourself in an echo chamber at work? Maybe it is time to embed greater diversity and inclusion (D&I) into your organisation.

In a two-part video series released last month, the EOC invited representatives of corporations and non-profit organisations to talk about what D&I mean to them, why it is good for business, and how it can be incorporated into every aspect of the workplace, from practices and policies to the leadership and corporate culture.

The consensus is clear: there are multiple and tangible benefits to having an inclusive workplace that welcomes talents from all backgrounds. It drives innovation, facilitates dialogue and connection, and ultimately helps your business grow.

The EOC would like to express sincere gratitude to the interviewees for sharing their experience and insight. They include: Sue TOOMEY, Executive Director at HandsOn Hong Kong; Melanie MCLAREN, Executive Director at Justice Centre Hong Kong; Mônica Zionede HALL, Founder and CEO at FELIZ Consulting; Jackie LEE, CSR Director at KPMG China; Lucinda PIKE, Executive Director at Enrich HK; Johnny WONG, Senior Corporate Communications Officer at China Aircraft Services Ltd; Catherine GURTIN, CEO at Pathfinders; and Mabel SIEH, Executive Director at Kids4Kids Limited.

These organisations have all signed the EOC's Racial Diversity & Inclusion Charter for Employers, introduced in 2018 to promote best practice in advancing racial equality in employment, and now boasting over 180 signatories.
