The Zubin Foundation to host conference “What Is the Status of Hong Kong’s Ethnic Minorities?”

The Hong Kong Poverty Situation Report on Ethnic Minorities 2016 unveiled that one in every five ethnic minority households was living in poverty. What has changed since then? And what is the way forward for racial equality?

To address these questions, The Zubin Foundation will host its inaugural conference, “What Is the Status of Hong Kong’s Ethnic Minorities?” on 9 November 2021 (Tuesday) at Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hong Kong, 50 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, bringing together senior Government officials, business leaders, social workers, community advocates, as well as practitioners in CSR, human resources, and diversity and Inclusion.

Breakout sessions will be held on such issues as inclusive education, inclusive business, mental health, and the empowerment of ethnic minority women. The conference will end with an open discussion on how to encourage changes in the mindset of society at large.

The EOC is delighted to be a Supporting Organisation of the event. Among the speakers are EOC Members, Dr Rizwan ULLAH and Dr Theresa CUNANAN. To learn more about the rundown, please click the links below.
