Although DEI reigns as a buzzword in the business sector today, the interest in recruiting, retaining and grooming talents with disabilities remains lukewarm among employers. Often, the apathy stems from a lack of knowledge about different disabilities and assumptions about accommodation measures being costly and burdensome.

In any event, disability discrimination is a crucial area of law which all employers may come across at some point. If you would like to learn more about the issue, sign up now for OJ Ability’s webinar “Disability Discrimination in the Workplace”, to be hosted on 23 May 2022 (Monday), 4pm-5pm (Hong Kong time).

Doris TSUI, Acting Head (Policy, Research and Training) at EOC will speak about how employers can better support job applicants and employees with disabilities by taking reasonable and proportionate steps to accommodate their needs.

Other speakers include Loïc ANDRÉ, founder of OJ Ability; Faridé Burji SHROFF, founder and Executive Director of SENsational Foundation; and Matthew DURHAM from Gall’s Employment practice.
