There is no place for harassment at universities
In response to recent news about students of The University of Hong Kong allegedly harassing two fellow students at a dormitory, the EOC issued a statement on 13 September 2022 condemning any form of school bullying, while clarifying the scope and application of Hong Kong’s anti-discrimination ordinances.

EOC Chairperson Mr Ricky CHU Man-kin published an article in Ming Pao Daily News on 2 September 2022, calling out media stereotypes of persons living with mental health issues for perpetuating prejudice and jeopardising prospects of recovery for the community.

South Asian students in Hong Kong face more institutional barriers than their Chinese counterparts in accessing support and services for children with special educational needs, according to a study conducted in 2021-22 by Caritas Institute of Higher Education and funded by the EOC.
