Mental Health Month offers a range of activities

The Mental Health Month initiative is a territory-wide campaign aimed at raising community awareness about mental health issues through a variety of publicity and educational activities. The Organising Committee consists of Government departments, NGOs and public bodies, including the EOC.

With the theme “Just Chill and Love Yourself”, the 2023 Mental Health Month encourages the public to prioritise their mental well-being amidst the demands of their fast-paced lifestyles. An array of activities will be organised across different parts of Hong Kong to promote the importance of mental health to the public and enhance their understanding and acceptance of mental illness and persons in recovery. Additionally, this year’s campaign attempts to address the challenges faced by caregivers as the society is seeking to provide more support for carers. On 14 October 2023, an opening ceremony was held to inaugurate a series of mental health-related activities scheduled for the upcoming month.
