EOC welcomes new Member and extends gratitude to outgoing Member

On 3 May 2024, the EOC welcomed the HKSAR Government’s announcement on the appointment of Dr Vincent WONG Wai-lun as a new Member of the EOC, and the re-appointment of existing Member Mr Simon LAM Ken-chung by the Chief Executive of the HKSAR. They will serve a two year-term with effect from 20 May 2024.

On 9 May 2024, the EOC held a press conference to release the Guide Dogs: A Practical Guide. The publication aims to promote the understanding and acceptance of guide dog users and their guide dogs across various sectors.

The EOC’s Anti-Sexual Harassment Unit has released a comic series to explain possible scenarios of sexual harassment and myths about filing reports of sexual harassment through the EOC’s complaint-handling system.

17th HKIB Outstanding Financial Management Planner Awards open for applications

Over the years, the EOC has collaborated with the banking industry to ensure that individuals from different backgrounds and disadvantaged groups enjoy equal access to quality banking and financial services. Organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers, the Outstanding Financial Management Planner Awards aim to promote best practices in financial planning, including ethical selling and the provision of products suitable for clients from diverse backgrounds. The 17th edition of the Awards is now open for submissions until 19 July 2024. The EOC is pleased to support this initiative.
