Universal Accessibility Pledge application will close in a month
Enhancing accessibility in both the built and digital environment not only enables people with diverse abilities to participate in society, but it can also help businesses expand their customer base and improve branding. In April 2024, the EOC launched the Universal Accessibility Pledge (UA Pledge) to encourage more premises to demonstrate their commitment to creating accessible environments. Applications will remain open until 30 August 2024.
Premises which encounter hardships in retrofitting existing facilities to meet accessibility standards and those that may not meet the requirements of the Universal Design Award Scheme at the moment are welcome to join the UA Pledge. Selected organisations will be presented with an e-certificate in recognition of their commitment. The results will be announced in October 2024.
Please note that companies/organisations that have already applied for the EOC’s Universal Design Award Scheme 2024/25 do not need to submit a separate UA Pledge application.
