EOC holds award ceremony for anti-sexual harassment video contest

On 17 July 2025, the EOC held an award ceremony for the “Safe Spaces for All: Anti-Sexual Harassment 60-Second Video Contest 2025” to recognise the contest’s winning teams for their creativity in promoting the anti-sexual harassment message. Mr Clement WOO Kin-man, Under Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs of the HKSAR Government, was the Guest of Honour.

The contest, which ran from March to May this year, invited the public to produce 1-min short videos to foster a culture of mutual respect and create safer communities. It featured three categories: one for secondary students, one for tertiary students and an open category for the general public. A judging panel selected the champion, first runner-up and second runner-up for each category. The winning entries highlighted the emotional impact of sexually explicit jokes, the power of bystander interventions, and debunked myths about sexual harassment.

In addition, the EOC held a public vote on the Anti-Sexual Harassment Resource Platform COMPASS’ Instagram account. The videos with the most likes from the account followers received the “Most Popular Entry on Instagram” award. The EOC also ran “The Most Meaningful Comments on IG Prize Game” to encourage the public to share their thoughts on the shortlisted videos and on the issue of sexual harassment.
