The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) today (6 October 2014) announced that it will receive written opinions on the Discrimination Law Review (DLR) until 31 October, 2014, which consultation exercise is originally due to expire on 7 October 2014.

The EOC spokesperson said that due to the intense interest of the public and a number of organizations that need more time to prepare their feedback, the EOC decided to receive written submissions on the DLR up to the end of October, 2014. Moreover, the EOC is trying hard to fix the temporary technical problem of the external computer server designated for the purpose, which has been overloaded in the last two days. It is hoped that the system will soon resume normal.
