The Equal Opportunities Commission has today (Friday 10 January, 2003) submitted a document to the Legislative Council on the Second Report to be prepared by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.


The EOC document (with the inclusion of Annex I & II ) submitted to the Panel on Home Affairs, raises various prevalent issues as well as new concerns. The Commission urges the Home Affairs Bureau to publish its draft Second Report for public consultation before it is finalized for submission to central government.
